Physician Associate

Niraj Patel grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia. He later attended Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, where he received his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies, graduating with highest honors.

Following graduation, Niraj returned to Atlanta and gained valuable experience in primary care and urgent care, serving the same community in which he was raised. His strong outpatient clinical foundation and passion for patient-centered care ultimately led him to pursue a career in neurosurgery with Total Spine & Brain Institute in 2020.

Over the years, Niraj has become a trusted and integral part of the practice, helping guide patients through both surgical and non-surgical treatment options with a thoughtful, compassionate approach. He is known for taking the time to educate patients, answer questions thoroughly, and help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their care journey.

Outside of medicine, Niraj enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, playing basketball, staying active in the gym, and spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Hawks.
